The Internet Movie "Legally Dead" 1988. This was a movie about a guy who enjoyed killing Lawyers. Vance played a Lawyer named  Larry Seigal.

The Summer before Vance started Daily Show, he toured with the group Cowboy Mouth. He played guitar and keyboards.
