Things from Vance's last five months on TDS (2001)
Ah, January 10 - May 17 2001, Vance's last five months on The Daily Show. In retrospect, I could see the writing on the wall that Vance was leaving Daily Show soon. Less correspondent stories (and on 'lame' things such as lost coats, and 'wonder drugs') and more green screen and Dollars and Cents. (And not to mention several bad hair days for Vance) But there was a light in all this 'darkness': Women's Health With Vance DeGeneres. A segment that started in April, and it featured Vance talking about 'women stuff' such as pelvic exams, and menopause, and what to expect when expecting. But Vance knew it was time to pack up and go back to LA and produce dating shows, so he left on May 17, 2001.
