At 2 p.m., spring breakers were just way too well-behaved.

"I think we got less drinking than we anticipated," said Vance DeGeneres, correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. "I'm hoping by sundown, we'll see at least a half dozen spring breakers vomiting or having dry heaves."

DeGeneres and camera crews visited Spinnaker to shoot footage for The Daily Show. The segment will appear at 10 p.m. Tuesday or Wednesday on Comedy Central. Hosted by comedian Jon Stewart, The Daily Show is a nightly parody of the day's news.

DeGeneres taped a segment for Comedy Central's ongoing coverage of the presidential race titled Indecision 2000. Comedy Central visited Panama City Beach to find out how college students felt about the upcoming election.

"I know a lot of college students have taken a week of their time to support their favorite candidate," DeGeneres said. "We figure we can too."

For one scene, camera crews stuffed 17 spring breakers into a camper. Crews also took pictures of students lounging by Spinnaker's pool and lying in the sand.

"It was awesome," spring breaker Scott Newman, 28, of Dallas, said. "We just had to look like we were packed in the RV and hadn't eaten for a week."

Still, the debauchery wasn't as raunchy as the cable networked had envisioned.

"We have not seen any girls flashing their breasts," DeGeneres deadpanned. "Unless we get some real flashing reform, I don't think The Daily Show will be back to Panama City Beach for Spring Break."

Spinnaker did its part by giving away free beer. The nightclub also hosted a bikini contest while Hawaiian Tropic models egged on the large crowd. Dressed in a suit and tie, DeGeneres moved about spring breakers who donned little more than bathing suits.

OK. That part wasn't so bad.

"It's not every story we get to work with half-naked women," DeGeneres said.
